Koi carps symbolize a lot of things in the oriental cultures: prosperity, good fortune, transformation, perseverance and fortitude, long lasting loving relationship, and a lot of other things.
Ginkgo is the oldest relict plant in the world. Ginkgo is a tree that is often found growing near temples, so it's a tree of wisdom and memory. There are some other good meanings as well...
